Dieting is a chronically broken approach to health in our culture. You know this from experience. You’ve tried all the diets and still aren’t getting the results you want.
4 Reasons Your Diet Failed
No Long Term Focus
I see so many diets that promise quick fixes and fast results. “Lose X pounds in 30 days!” But that’s not how it works, girl. Health is about long term lifestyle changes. Having a long term focus is how you get the long term results.
Health is personal. There’s no way around it. There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution to health or nutrition. Many diets are a blanket set of rules to follow, but that doesn’t take into consideration your unique body and life.
Not Considering Other Factors
Nutrition is a critical factor to health, but it’s not the only one. If you’re eating “perfectly” but not moving your body, sleeping well, reducing your stress, improving your emotional state, and all the other aspects required for a healthy life… your food will only get you so far.
Let’s face it. You might be blaming the diet if your “diet failed”, but if you’re still eating crappy food, you might not see a lot of improvement. Cheat meals are the bane of health. Sneaking some off-limits junk into your eating choices is more likely than not going to kill your progress if you wanna get there efficiently.
