How Apple Cider Vinegar Is the Ultimate Way To Start Your Day

Apple cider vinegar has gotten a lot of hype recently. Some might says it’s undeserved or overrated. But here’s the deal. ACV has been around for a good, looooong time. Our ancestors have been drinking it for hundreds and thousands of years. It’s nothing new.

So why is an ancient tradition rediscovered leaping to the top of the health charts? Because it’s benefits are pretty incredible.

To be clear, I’m not talking about a pill or some overglorified apple juice. I’m talking about the raw, liquid read deal with “the mother” and all. (Bragg’s is my favorite brand in case you’re confused by what I mean. No affiliate, just what I like.)

Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

I know you don’t have time to be here all day, so I’m gonna rattle these off, link the studies, and if you really wanna dig deeper, have at it! The resources are all provided. 🙂

>> Apple cider vinegar has been shown to reduce blood sugar and insulin as well as increase satiation (or feeling full) [1,2].

>> ACV can increase energy expenditure and fat burning as well as reducing fat storage [3,4].

>> During ketosis, ACV can increase the number of mitochondira in your cells [5,6].

>> ACV can help stabilize blood sugar [7].

>> It has been shown to improve cholesterol levels [8]. Now, cholesterol is actually not the enemy. It’s actually a response to inflammation. So my take from this is that ACV helps reduce inflammation, which in turn creates less of a need for cholesterol to be running around in the body trying to fix things.

>> ACV provides probiotics for your good gut bacteria and can help heal candida [9].

>> And finally, ACV can help increase nutrient absorption [10].

Morning Tonic & Evening Palate Cleanser

I like to put a tablespoon in a glass of water in the morning as soon as I get up and then have a second round in the evening before bed.

It does have a strong flavor and can be an acquired taste for some.

I like to add a splash of lemon juice and/or unsweetened cranberry juice sometimes to mix up the flavor and get some bonus benefits. It’s still quite bitter this way, but once you start feeling the amazing perks, your taste buds will get on board!
